Clinical interests

Assessment and orthopaedic management of spinal conditions including back pain, sciatica, sacroiliac joint pain, neck pain and referred arm pain from the neck.  Pain management and exercise.

Elaine worked as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for over 10 years before becoming a Spinal Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner in 2005. Since then she has worked alongside Spinal Orthopaedic Consultants assessing a spinal orthopaedic caseload and referring patients under a named Consultant for spinal injections and surgery.

She also has an interest in chronic pain management.  Her background training in physiotherapy gives her an excellent understanding of physical assessment and manual therapy options as well as injection and surgical options.

She can request any investigations required in order to clarify spinal diagnosis and will be able to talk you through any scans or investigations that you may have already had, in order to help you decide what treatment options you would like to consider.
