Mr Romano is a Consultant Eye Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where he leads the Cataract services. He has undertaken two corneal fellowships at both The Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He also has been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in cataract and refractive surgery from the University of Ulster in association with Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Mr Romano has an interest in translational research into cornea, cataract and refractive surgery and has an honorary position as Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.
