Mr Robert James Hill is Podiatrist at Winfield Hospital in Gloucester
Mr Robert James Hill has an interest in paediatric foot/ankle, correcting and monitoring children’s feet to ensure the best possible development and alignment as they mature.
He works closely with sporting organisations including the Gaelic Athletic Association and local football and rugby clubs. He was involved in the 2012 Olympics working alongside both the coaches and athletes.
Mr Hill contributes podiatric articles and biomechanical research to sporting and medical publications.
Diabetic foot care, cryosurgery and minor forefoot soft tissue surgery.
Consulting Podiatrist/Biomechanical Specialist graduated from Birmingham School of Podiatry in 1993, and then went on to study sports biomechanics and rehabilitation in Toronto, Canada where he completed a surgical rotation in forefoot surgery at MA General Boston.
Whilst working in North America, Mr Hill became affiliated with high profile teams such as the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team and the Toronto Raptors basketball team.
He returned to the UK in 1999. The majority of Mr Hill’s work is biomechanical based with the ability to design and manufacture prescription orthotics and braces. He also works with soft tissue and joint manipulation to aid rehabilitation and increase mobility and performance.
Mr Hill lectures around the United Kingdom, Ireland and USA in biomechanics, orthotic manufacture and manipulation techniques.
