Charlie initially studied Sports Science at Loughborough in 2006 whilst training to a national level at swimming. She completed that degree and went on to further complete her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2008 at Birmingham University. She initially worked in the NHS, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Since 2009 she has worked for various national level 1 and 2 rugby union teams. Her main speciality is acute and chronic sports injuries. She is a qualified Pilates instructor and trained in acupuncture.
