Academic background

Dr Singhai is a Consultant Geriatrician and Physician with over 20 years experience of working in the NHS and his NHS base is the Lister Hospital in Hertfordshire.

Dr Singhai undertook his undergraduate training at Kings College, London, qualifying in 1995. He completed his postgraduate higher specialist training in the North East London region which provided excellent training and has dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr Singhai was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2016 which is recognition of excellence and innovation in the field of medicine. He is also a Royal College Examiner and sits regularly on Consultant Interview Panels as the Royal College Representative.

One of his main areas of specialist interest and expertise is in the management of Parkinsons disease especially neuropsychiatric and cognitive problems.

Dr Singhai's work in the area of Parkinson's Disease has been recognised as an example of best practice by Parkinson's UK.

His approach to care is person centred with treating "what matters to the person" to address their needs and goals and improve quality of life.

He is also available for home visits if needed and can organise private transfers from NHS hospitals and admissions from home for rehabilitation, respite care and medical care to the Rivers Hospital.
