Dr Patel is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Ashtead Hospital in Surrey
Rheumatoid arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, psoriaritic arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, carpal tunnel syndrome and neck and back pain. Also interested in sciatica, shoulder problems, systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) and other connective tissue disorders. Soft tissue problems such as tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis.
Dr Patel qualified from the University of Southampton in 1984. He has worked in a variety of hospitals in England and in New Zealand. Following training in general internal medicine he specialised in rheumatolgy. He has a particular expertise in metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis.
